Translated from the original German description: In 1937 in spite of the 100th anniversary of the baulichen Gießerei in Frankfurt am Main, the font font Zentenar Fraktur was designed by Professor Friedrich Hermann Ernst Schneidler . (Zentenar means here: the centennial, this refers to the anniversary of the font foundry throws a classic blackletter on the market for their anniversary) The type foundry wrote about this font: at distinct nature of the drawing she joins in overall impression the usual image of an old blackletter very closely. For this blackletter was one of the last newly developed in German blackletter classical writings.

For this font I own o a full character list on a sheet of “type-outline-card” on which this font is printed in a size of 28 points. I have tried hereafter to trace the characters as faithfully as possible. Thus, this font is now available as a separate digitization, completely free of charge. The ligatures shown on the index card have been extended to the entire UNC-set, so that this font is to use along with my other blackletter fonts.
